I'm sorry if this has been dealt with before.

I want to record free ATSC. I don't want to go to DirecTV, the cable company or by an $800 Tivo unit and pay them a monthly subscription to make it work.

What are the latest options to buy or build a high quality, dual tuner ATSC DVR and get channel programming lineup?

    Thanks in advance.

depending on where you live, some of the tv stations are brodcasting hd signal over the airwaves and you can get the signal with your external antena, and the quailty is fantastic, one reason it is better thain cable and satilite is it is not compressed, there is a lot of information about this, and guess what it is free, but you can't get espn and stuff like that
