I have a home theater system which also has DVD player with it. The DVD player does not seem to work properly. Its' audio option keep skipping from Aux 1 to Aux2 to DVD. I think I would have to replace my DVD player.

The problem is I could not find a DVD player with 5.1 channel output. I need to plug all the 5 plus subwoofer speakers to the DVD player for proper sound.

Is there any way out for this?

Yes. Buy a good AV receiver when you buy your new player. Players are cheap but unfortunately good AV receivers are not.

Forgive me for my ignorance. What are AV receivers. How do they work. Where can I buy them.
