Hi, I plan to take my xbox (or PS2 if possible) to India when I visit. Will I need a different power adaptor or will the regular one work? I do have a multi-system TV there that can display NTSC signal. The power is the only thing I am concerned about. Thanks in advance.
i have no idea what type of plugs they have in INdia, but most likely you will need a converter. Getting a good modchip installed would solve the problem of NTSC or PAL and the TV as it will display games in either format. Other than that you would have to get a converter box if the TV did not support both formats.
I know for sure the TV supports NTSC and my XBox is softmodded anyway. So, I don't think that will be a problem. I am assuming I need a different power cord or an adapter. Found this article on wiki. They use 220-240V/50Hz. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_with_mains_power_plugs,_voltages_and_frequencies
yep, and NTSC has 100-127V 60Hz so if the TV supports NTSC (60Hz) then the power plug should be your only issue. Something like these should do the trick and they are cheap. http://www.folica.com/ConairPro_Plu...EY=110v 220v converter voltage&OVMTC=advanced http://www.planetomni.com/ARTICLES-Plug-Adapters.shtml
