how to write 3 movies[each of 1.4gb] in one dvd disc of 4.7gb

    i want to copy movies from my laptop to dvds

    i have sonic softaware

    when i tried for to copy 3 movies [1.4gb each] to 4.5gb dvd its showing full for only one movie i.e 1.4gb

    pls help meeeeee

    you will need to convert your AVI files first! AVI files are not DVD Compliant files (IFO, BUP, and VOB files) that's why your AVI movie is too big to fit 3 of them on one DVD! At 1.47GB for an AVI will fill up a blank DVD and should even be reduced to fit onto that one disk! I would use ConvertXToDVD to convert and put on a DVD5 (blank DVD-single sided). You can use NeroVission to convert and burn, too. If you want you can include all three AVIs and see if the quality won't suffer if you stuff all on one DVD! Good luck.

    i take it these are downloads, if so it depends on the compression factor of the avi.
    a 700mb avi can after conversion to dvd format be anything from 2 to 4gb...so if yours is 1.4gb in avi form, after conversion you could quite easily have up to 6gb in dvd format just for the one film
