I need to get 2-3 semi full single layer dvds onto one dual layer. These are home movies so there no need to break DRM.

Another way using DVD Shrink in 'Reauthor' mode.

    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/multiple_dvd_to_dvdr_dvd_shrink_page_3.cfm

DVD Shrink can use DVD Decrypter to burn your DL disk.
Check the last paragraph in this link.

    http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/dvddec-options.htm
And since you are going to use a DL disk, look under 'Video' on the right panel, change the drop down menu to 'No Compression'.
shrink assumes you are using a regular dvd for backups.

Ok wow so let me see if I understand this.
You can put, for example, 2 dvds into one dual layer? with menus and everything? ... how does the dvd know which movie to go to? I'm damn confused but that would definitely kick mayor ass.

DVD Remake can put together more than two DVDs. It has ability to join two DVDs and than you can join 3rd and 4th and so on if you have enough room left to fit to DL.
You will have to recreate menu for navigation, but to explain is best to go to site pointed out, since it is long story.
That one comes with pictures. Open "Merge Disks"
It is grate software, you can do lots of editing in there also, like cut out what you do not need, add sections to cells, change DVD navigation, lots of fun.

Check out the guide I posted, basically it will create a menu that says "Disc 1" and "Disc 2" (and 3 and 4, depending on how many you merge together), and you just choose which disc you want to access, and it will begin to play all previews, menus, special features, etc. of that particular disc just as if that disc was alone was played. There is also a guide on that site that shows how to make custom menus so you don't have to use the menu that it comes with. Only downside is that this program is not free, but well worth the small fee if you do this sort of thing often. Hope this helps a little.

edit: Suba beat me to the explanation...lol

So basically you're creating a menu that points to another menu.?

That is easy to do in DVDLAbpro or any other authoring prog. but DVDremake would save you the trouble of extracting or encoding.

Interesting, but I think plutonash was just asking about movie only DVD's (home movies), good info tho.

Hey man, thank you for your dvdremake pro.. it was great.
How about if I want to create a region free dvd? I have a pal dvd and a ntsc dvd that I wanna merge and I'm not sure what the result is going to be.... I'm a noob, I know.

I would not recommend to use two formats on the same DVD. Unless your player can play both, it will not play one of them.
On top I do not know how Remake sets up the files, but they will have to be accessed from WMG menu.
If you insist to do what you want, post your question in Remake forum, they will be better to answer it.
