My syster has a PC HP-Compact brand, the PC cames with DVD writer which I do not know what brand. I looks at MyComputer->device->property->hardware then it's shown: HP DVD writer 400c .
I would like to know what media is worked fine on this burner.

    - Is this a DVD +R burner (HP used to make DVD+ format) ?
    - What is the max write speed ?
    - is this OK to used Prodisc white&silver printable media on this HP DVD writer 400c ?

    Thanks.

I tried to look up your 400c burner. I found a HP 400e and a 400i. Both are +R only burners. Since yours seems to be a slightly older version(c comes before e or i) it is probably a +R burner too. You can't use any -R media.
    The 2 I found listed were 8x for +R and 4x for +RW media.
If you want to look at more info go to this site.
    http://www.videohelp.com.

Then click dvd writers on the left. Type in HP 400 in the search block.
