Looks like some companies have started creating one box all in one solutions for the recent demand of Computer home theaters. I have watched HP slowly get there and now they have this new line:

The m400y series is not bad, I just wonder how bad the Windows® XP Media Center Edition OS will be.

    Hi Prisoner
My sister-in-law has one of those HP media centers. I believe it has Windows XP Media Center O/S. From the playing time I have had on that machine the O/S is just like XP home. If you are a Windows fan it works OK. If you dislike Windows well .........
    I hope this helps

yeah, media center is a prettier looking version of windows xp pro, it only comes bundled with prebuilt htpc's, and has extra added home theater features for playing media. Personally I would just stick with pro sp1, if u are going to use a windows product, or a fully updated version of 2000 NT.
