hp pavilion 563w processor max speed

    since hp is very anial about upgrading processors and since i cant find any information on the internet about it

    mabe the great people of afterdark will know...

    what is the max speed of this computer processor wise

    and is there anyone who would tell me this cause i would like to know thanks

    the only thing that matters is the socket of the motherboard, and what CPUs it supports, If I were you I would do a full motherboard and CPU upgrade.

    you can get a P5K-SE for $128 and a good Intel Core 2 duo for $140

    You could buy a new CPU, but only up to 3.4Ghz, and it'll have to be a Northwood CPU (they're better anyway) You'll have to consider whether that's enough of an upgrade. You current CPU can't really be overclocked.

    so does that mean the board will max out to 3.2 chats what i wanted to know cause im trying to run never winter knights 2 and it runs but its slow as a bastard

    That's not the fault of your processor, it's your graphics card.

    my graphics card is a nvidia fx 5500 with 256 ram and 3,0 shader. so i don't think its that cause its recomended

    The FX5500 is one of the slowest 256MB cards you can buy, in Neverwinter nights 2 it's insufficient, trust me. NWN2 is still a relatively demanding game, I'll bet it recommends a 256MB card, but it really means a good one, such as a 256MB 7600GT.
