I was taking the cover off of my PS2, and when I got the case off, I stupidly pulled it too far and I think the ribbon cable connecting the buttons to the unit got loosened or something. PLZ HELP! I have no idea how to get those buttons off of the case to check the cable there, and same with the drive. Please help me! I don't know what to do!

    okay, I had some problem.

Im using a v7, but i dont think it matters, it should be very similar.

Anyways, pull the ribbon all the way out. now look under the hard drive, looking from the right side (the front will be the drive, and memory cards/controller ports.) You should see a slot under there that will fit your ribbon end.

Just stick it back in. This is very aggrivating, as it doesnt really grab it to well, and it will come out. It took me a lil bit, but I finnaly got it.

    hope this all helps.
