I'm trying to burn a friend's dvds so she can send them to her sister out of state. I'm using Ripit4me, Dvd Decryptor, DVD Shrink and Nero 6.3.1.4. Tried it on computer and received similar errors. After no luck after 5 hrs I decided to try on my machine as I usually have no trouble.

Any idea what the problem is? Here is the report:

    Hi SGL1
1st let's edit out the serial #'s at the top of the log - begin w/ 1A.
Don't need someone else using them.

    Recorder: <TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B>Version: TS11
    Update the firmware to TS12.

For DMA check device manager and see what it reports Nero doesn't report Nvidia correctly. Here's a guide to get you in the right direction - link.

    Disc Manufacturer ID: MBIPG101
Not the best and may not be compatible w/ this drive.
Better to use would be Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

    File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS' & File 'Drivers\InCDfs.SYS'
Nero and Roxio don't always play well together esp when Nero's InCD is installed.
If you're not using InCD on this pc uninstall it and run the clean tool. Same with Roxio - uninstall and run the zap tool.

    Give that a go.

you are running Roxio on your machine - this often conflicts with Nero - advise removal

you are also running Nero INCD on your machine - would suggest removal of this program.

Download and use Nero Clean Tools and Roxio Zapper to clean you machine and then reload Nero.

Remove your Nero serial numbers from your post e.g. 1a23-0008-xxx etc.

I would if I knew how to edit my post. I can't find a button or way to do this.

    Recorder: <TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B>Version: TS11
    Update the firmware to TS12.

And I just updated not even 2 mo ago!!!

I had the same problem with these dics on her computer. I switched to some no-name dics I had and I was able copy with no problem. Guess it was the Imation discs after all.

I really appreciate all your input. Thanks. I'll look into it.

Click on the edit icon to edit the post - looks like a pencil & paper
    [IMG].

You DMA mode looks fine - check the secondary channel too and make sure all okay there - probably is.

Yeah firmware can get updated frequently. I check every so often.

For the Roxio driver there's 1 or 2 other programs that use it. Just can't remember exactly who they are. I think one was WinAmp.

I have the Samsung auto updater and it states that TS11 is the newest update.

And thanks for the edit info. Done. I think it was the Imation dics I was using. Burned fine on my no name Dynex discs. Go figure.

Yeah not all discs are compatible w/ all drives. So looks like this one is more compatible with whoever made those Dynex - they use several manufacturers.
