Use whatever program you used to write to the disc, to erase the disc. Look through all the options and I'm sure you will find it.

Generally, when you are ready to write, if you have a RW in the drawer then you'll be asked if you wish to have it erased, select "Yes" and it will be erased prior to writting -

    That should do it -

    Cheers,

thanks, but it doesn't seem to work. I used dvdxcopy xpress 3.2.1.0. to write the +rw disc. I have a program on the computer called "sonic" but didn't see anything for erasing. Same with xcopy. TeacDVD+RW DV-W58E came with my dell. I want to use the DVD+rw discs over and over. Since my xcopy is so unpredictable, I like to test it first with a DVD+RW.

    can you still help?

    No sweat-

Download DVDInfoPro. Not only will it erase your discs BUT will tell you all about your drives and your discs.

scrubapete, I have DVDXCOPY Xpress 3.2.1.0 I was told that if I put a +rw into the drawer when it calls for the "blank " disc that it will do just what you said. It will ask you if you want to overwrite or erase. Is that what you were trying to tell me in an earlier message? If so, do you know if xpress will prompt for that feature??

    thanks

Many proggys do that OR can be made to do that through settings -

    DVD Decrypter
    Nero (all proggys)
    CopyToDVD,
    CloneDVD2
    DVDCopy3,
    DVD XCopy Basic,
    DVD XCopy Express,
    DVD XCOpy Platinum
DdvdSanta and the list goes on and on . . . .

There are a few which may not but I don't remember them :)
