So, I ordered the NEC ND2510A from Newegg.com since I've heard nothing but good things about it, and its going to arrive today. I can't stand the excitement, I should go home sick.

Anyways, I also ordered some DVD-Rs, since they are most compatible with my players, and a few DVD+RWs, so I can play around without making coasters.

Onto my question, I figured first I'd find a disc that's definitely only one layer, <4.36 gigs or whatever and try that out first, just to get my feet wet. Or would it be better though to start out big and get used to all the software first? Any thoughts?
