I keep "successfully" burning DVDs but they come out blank. WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Okay, I upgraded to Nero 6.x (latest version) because my Nero 5.5.10.33 kept failing at the end of burning session. After upgrade, things seemed to work; I get "successful burn" message. But when I load my newly burned DVD into drive, it shows up as blank.

I don't know what to do. I've fixed my aspi. I've upgraded my Nero version. Does this mean I need to upgrade my firmware? Does this mean my DVDRW drive is hisory? It still burns DVDs using DVD X Copy and it still burns CD-Roms in Nero. I don't want to upgrade firmware unless I must. I have a DVDRW IDE1004 drive with firmware version 0039, but don't know the manufacturer.

Any suggestions? Maybe another DVD data burning software? Firmware??
    Thanx.

I had the same problems and I think it was the upgrade of Nero. When I started using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2, I haven't had any problems. Sometimes the drive still shows old disc in the drive even though it isn't. I've been living with that though.
