Ok i just downloaded 1408 and it is a .bin file. It comes with instructions on useing nero to burn it. Would someone please tell me how to burn it with dvd shrink or some other program that is free or offers a free trail ? Nero is very expensive.

    Talking about .BIN files.
I know IMGBurn doesn't support audio CD's, but do you know if it is will output a good VCD?
It will burn the VCD bin file without complaint, but they won't play in my machines (or the PC)

.bin is just an image file like iso, nrg, img etc.
Imgburn is just burning the image file, if the backup don't work then i would look at the program that made the image file for the problem.

    Imgburn can burn these files

I've just decided that i should not say something that i have never done, give me 10 minutes and i will try it.

OK it works beautiful, if you use the build option it will not work.

Just drag and drop the .bin file onto the imgburn icon/shortcut and click on the write button.

I burned with IMGBurn, the files are on the CD, but the PC media player and my standalone players reject it.
I erased the CD, and burned with Nero - it works...baffled!

    Edit:
Here, i just found this.Straight from the horses mouth.

    Stll no luck.
I see the files on the disk, but my players won't play it.(my Panasonic stops functioning and has to be powered off/on to release the disk).Yet when I burn the same (RW) disk with Nero, it's fine.
I sacrificed a regular CD-R and the same symptoms.

Nero uses the cue file and has two tracks, IMGBurn has one track.
Nero burned VCD works on my machines, IMGBurn doesn't and I picked the two standalone players that IMGBurn VCD's will not work.
I should be buying lottery tickets.
