Hi, I am having difficulties connecting my xbox to pc so i can rip and burn games Ive connected the xbox via a cross over cable. How do i set up the xbox and my windows xp so i can transfer data. I am not able to connect up to ftp the data over.. i need help please
Hi You need to make sure that all teh ip information is setup in the evox setting menu. Then you have to modify you tcp/ip settings in windows so that you have the same subnet mask and gateway but the ip address on the pc must be different from that of the xbox. Then try to connect using your ftp program. Sometime the xbox is tempermental and you may need to switch it off and back on. But it should work no probs. Dave
Plus, you don't need a crossover cable if you are using a standard router or hub. For what you spend on a crossover cable you may as well just buy a router then you can surf the net while trying to figure out your problems if you are having any. Well worth it.
