Ok i download a dvd ripper, that finally works and synchronizes right. But the thing is, it rips them in the .vob format. Is there any converter to change it to avi, mpeg, mpg, or anything like that? By the way, what dvd ripper do u use?

Your next step is to determine what format you wan't to covert the dvd to? You can go DivX, VCD, or SVCD. if you own a home dvd player and it plays SVCD, then this by far is the best route to go. if you just wan't to encode the movie and store& play on your pc, then DivX is your best route. I won't mention VCD because the video quality sucks (honest truth).
