Can you watch it in your DVD ROM? (your computer)
What type or DVDR disk's are you using? They may not be compatable with your stand alone player?
Are you using Nero start smart or express when you burn your disk? Sorry just need a little more info to be able to help...

Are you using any other program beside's Nero? You have to use a program to decode the disk it will not play just by using nero alone you need DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter. Check out my sight it has guides made ecepecially for beginers you can get the programs you need there. I recommend using DVD Shrink and Nero.

I would also recommend you use a RW disk until you have it down. This way you won't waste anymore disk's

Let me know how everything goes

    Me again :)

I just re-read this whole post again and it looks like these are movies you downloaded? Not original DVD Back ups am I right? If I am then there is a whole other direction we need to take. Let me know if this is true and if so do you know what format the movies are in (MPEG, AVI, SVCD ect..)

I use shrink to back up all my bought dvd's, they can be used on US (NTSC) or UK (PAL) films.

Ok I am not real experinced on this, but I do make DVD's out of shows i record off the TV. I have recorded in MPEG, AVI, and DivX. The program I use is Nero Vision Express (NVE) and it works perfect. If you have that then give that a try. If not you can download a free trial version (30 days) you can get it here

    http://www.nero.com/en/nero-prog.html

give it a try and if it works and ya like it then buy it here

    http://www.ibackups.net/index.php?main=products&sub=showproduct&id=30

Someone else may be able to tell you a different way to do this but I just know that NVE work's and works well..

    Good Luck :)
