do i need to tape the disc break thing?
Yes the disk brake has to be disabled. I used a rolled up piece of paper to hold the break out of the way.
i din but it still works. will it damage it somehow. because don't it go off when u close the lid?
Not exactly sure what you mean. Just push the disk stop to the side and insert a piece of paper in the slot to keep it from coming in contact with the disk. Make sure it is pushed in flush with the plastic so it does not interfere with the disc.
Originally when the lid is closed a small piece of plastic(a stud attached to the lid) is inserted in a hole next to the disk break when this happens it disengages the disk break. When the lid is lifted the stud is removed and the brake engages to stop the disk from spinning. By inserting the paper in the break you are bypassing this so the break will never engage.
