IBM brand CD-Rs

    I am trying to determine the manufacture location (country and/or state) of IBM brand gold CD-Rs. So far I have been unable to determine whether IBM obtains their CD-Rs from Ritek, CMC, Taiyo Yuden, etc., or if they do the manufacturing themselves.

    If the discs use real gold as a mirror layer, the most likely source is MAM-A in Colorado, not far from IBM plants. MAM-A is the former Mitsui factory.
