    I wanted to get a magic 3.1
    I cant solder myself
An electrician lives near my house and he is a pro in soldering
Will he be able to mod my Ps2 as he is not experienced soldering of a modchip

as long as he can do electronic soldering, as in components onto a board, he should be fine.

this stuff is smaller than most electricians would be used to.

I am sure he would be able to solder if its a v5/6 or v7 but if you have a v1-v3. Also if he has all the right tools. Iam aslo a professional solder and even i have a very hard time doing v1,2 or3

    how would we know ?

ask the person/pro if he can do it ?

show him the size of the ponts ask if he has ever soldered anythign that small?

this is more a question for the person doing it than for the forum

well if hes a pro at soldering then he can do it. my dad is a pro. and he has never modded a ps2 before. but he did it perfect. if the guy is a pro, then hes a pro. he wont ruin it.

not nessisarily there are different areas of specialization for profetional solderers
just because you dad could do it does not mean that anyone who solders "professionally" can

for instance I would not trust my ps2 to a plumber just because they can solder professionally

even a flight a professionall solderer says that he has "a very hard time doing v1 2 and 3
