If I Don't Have the Following...Can I Still Burn a Game to PS2?

    If I:
    didn't mod my ps2
    buy the magic swap disk
    use a mod chip/game shark

    is it still possible to burn a game to the ps2? i keep hearing about dvd dycrypter and nero...

    You need to mod your playstation 2 or use swap magic to play. Or you can connect a hard drive to the fatter playstation 2's and use hdadvance to copy the games to the hard drive and play them from there.

    You can use Nero or DVD Decrypter (burning software) to burn games to discs, however they won't be playable on an unmodded PS2.

    The original discs for PS2 titles have a series of pits and bumps before the data region which cannot be read or written to using a conventional CD/DVD recorder. For this reason, discs which have been copied using conventional means will not have this authentication region present, therefore the disc will fail to authenticate. It's a fairly effective copy protection measure. :)
