i decrypted a movie with shrink and burned it with nero yet halfway through it stopped burning and said error illegL DISC i have burned numbers of movies this way and with the same brand dvd-rs i hate wasting dvds does anyone know whats up? thanks
Hi cfl777, Welcome to aD - The message you received is one generally caused by using cheap media. Buying cheap media doesn't mean it won't burn, it just means you should expect problems while burning (as the one you received) Or out and out coasters. There are many pple who skimp on their media and have very few failures but in time, the odds change and the coasters add up. I've said many times, "Buying el cheapo is like gambling, some pple win, more lose, varing amounts and not all the time, but they do lose For your problem, a "work through" would be to try lowering your burn speed, tighten your DVD target size to around 4300MB (it should be not much more anyway) and so you don't burn to the edge of your disc and try burning "Movies only" to ease compression Cheers, Pete
