I bought an ILO DVD recorder but when I record a DVD, any scrolling or side to side movement is very jagged and jumpy instead of smooth motion like on VHS. How can I fix that? Or should I just get a DVD recorder that is not Wal-Mart brand? :)

    It is a DVDR04

Now I read that ILO is out of business. No wonder they won't answer my tech support questions!

    ilo is a WalMart Brand

The 05 is made be Cyberhome [They are out of business in the US]
Is not a unit that I would spend a lot of time and money on

The ilo 04 is made by LiteOn [They are not out of business but will most likely Not answer, or you may hear from them in about a month and will tell you its a firmware problem
Which I feel reasonably so, that it isn't, Unless you have attempted a firmware upgrade and it failed
I don't know what your use is but the 04 Models, while the may have their problems like others, For my and many others use they are more than worth repair and effort

    DON'T Get Rid Of It
I have 3 ilo units 2 with HDD and 3 LiteOn units 1 with HDD

I have not seen the problem you present. except 1 that had a failed firmware install. It was not the same problem as you describe but similar. I really don't have an answer right off.
