after installing a 120gb Seagate harddrive, i get it as a 31.4gb harddrive under my computer. so i tried formatting it via NTFS 4096bytes, and it still gave me the same amount (31.4gb), now is there any way that i can somehow format it so i get somewhat close to theh 120gb or am i stuck the way i am, thanks

Okay, to find out which service pack...

Right click "My computer," and go down to properties. On the page that opens, it will tell you everything you need to know about your version are Windows. But...

Look at the sticker label on the side of the hard drive. Are you sure that it is really the 120gb hard drive and not another hard drive my mistake? (I've done that before... heh)

Is your hard drive IDE or SATA? And what about the other hard drive(s) in your computer?

there is a place for the jumper to be set as a 32 bytes, but its currently on a slave drive.
