Question for anyone who might know...

I can copy some game for the ps2 perfectly. But a couple that i've tried to make backup's of, seem to stop and fail around 50% through the part of the process, where it creates the image of the DVD disc.

Games that this has happened on, are Final Fantasy X-2 and Need for Speed Underground (The first one).

Has anyone got any ideas why this might happen? I know that in Alcohol 120%, whenever I put a disc in the DVD drive the ability to select most the options disappears. Usually it still works though, for the few that I have tried this on.

It could be that the discs are scratched or have fingerprints or dust on the bottom. Another possibility is that your hard drive is full.

My hard drive has 20Gb+ free. I've checked both discs for any physical marks or damage and both seem perfect.

Anyone know any other reasons, this might happen?
