this is prolly a stupid question...but are the image files from x box and ps2 the same?
well they ARE iso files.... but the content aint the same.... in the xbox isos you cant extract it the normal way... and in the xbox images you can watch the movies... file movies that is...
if it is the same game why arnt the contents the same?
les take one game and compare shall we?
GTA3 on ps2 4GB
GTA3 on xbox 3GB
now you asking where the f**k that 1GB go...
since xbox and the ps2 uses diffrent parts.. and cores... and the GFX engines... the engine of the game... in this case renderware... needs to be fited to the ps2 and the xbox engines of the console.... and the textures may vary to every console... so ok this one takes care of the texture AND the GFX.... now to the sounds... ps2 uses the optic cable to generate pro logic II and the DTS... now we all know prologic sound and not to talk about DTS takes quite some space... now the xbox in this case uses the 5.1 audio... not quite pro logic or DTS but it's still smaller then the ps2 sounds system... this one takes care of the sounds and SFX... now the movies while ps2 uses the pss(mpeg encoded files) the xbox just uses ASF files encoded in the M$ codecs... thats about it...
