I've been googling for something like iTunes for movies for the last couple days but have not found anything like what I am looking for.

At the moment I'm thinking of something like VOM except using DivX. In other words, I would like the compression that DivX provides, but I would also like to keep chapters, menus, multiple audio streams, etc.

Does anything out there exist like this? The only thing I've been seeing so far is extracting a single video+audio stream into something simpler like an AVI file. Thus I must choose between the features and large amounts of HD space, or greatly reduced HD space and a simple stream.

I've been seeing many commercials for "Microsoft Media Center", which sounds like it accomplishes something like this but requires specialized hardware for it to work. Are there competitors out there, or is this still before its time?

Well, I'm more likely to buy an iMac than a "Microsoft Media PC", but I'm still kinda looking for a software solution here.
