    Hi everyone.

I recently bought the Pioneer 109. I had the 106 and it has been a worthy servant.

Anyway, with the 109 I can rip an already burnt DVD (without CSS encryption) in 5 mins.

Then with an original with CSS encryption it takes 14 mins to rip.

Why does it go so slow?

Is there anything I can do to increase its performance? I have already downloaded the latest firmware from the Pioneer site.

Ohh and just so you know. This is exactly the same DVD and it needs no compression.

To explain the problem better. When I rip a burnt DVD with DVD Shrink it actually goes at 8x. But a CSS encrypted one it only goes at 2x. Why is this?

Don't rip using DVD Shrink ... use DVD Decrypter
