Installing Linux without HDTV

    Hello.
    I have a standard TV and wish to install and use Linux. Is this possible or can only people with HDTV do this?
    I tried to install YDL 5.01 but got to the kboot: prompt and when i ry to install the screen turns off and not much happens.
    Any help more the appreciated! cheers!

    Also, if for some reason your other os goes wrong and wont boot, and you cant get to kboot to type boot-game-os, is there a fall back plan, a way to get back to the ps3 dash?

    All important question im sure.

    google it man... i have my ydl running on sdtv... the problem is that been 2 months since i did it... ill look into my notes if i have some info...

    Well, Apparently holding down the power button for 5 seconds or more should turn off the console and boot back into PS3 Dash, but it didnt work for me when i tried it yesterday.
