is there anyone out there who knows how do install this infernal device (realtek sound driver). I downloaded all said files from hp only to be told it has the original ones on board, so after searching i found them. EVERY time i go to install it asks me to use the device manager when i try(which i have not done before never had to) it installs the wrong one or does not highlight the specified folder please someone help

if you want to manually install the drivers through device manager please follow these steps.

    1. download the drivers from the net
    2. extract to a folder (if the are compressed)
    3. Click Start
    4. Right Click on My computer
    5. Click Properties
    6. Click Hardware
    7. Click Device Manager
    8. Expand the Sound, Video and Game controllers
    9. Right click on your audio one
    10.Click Update Driver
    11.you will be prompted with 2 options;
    Install the software Automatically (Recommended)
    or
Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)

    12. Click the Advanced one and press Next
    13. Uncheck "Search removable media"
    14. Check Include this location in the search
    15. Now press browse and point it at the folder where you extracted the files (step 1 if you didnt need to extract or step 2 if you did)
    16. press next and the drivers will be installed from the files that you downloaded.
