It's been a long time since I had last posted here...

My question is this; could you suggest me free programs for compressing movies?

I used to have Nero Recode for this task, but since - out of false handling - I uninstalled Nero, I don't have Recode anymore...

I think that DVDShrink is old... Its development stopped back at 2004, so I think that its compressing algorithms are a bit outdated....

Here's the link to AD's Alkohol and Fasfrank's guides and software downloads. This should put you on the right path.

You are correct, development has stopped for the forseable future............But then why is it so popular and well regarded? Seems to me the 'Old girl has life in her yet. :)

    Cheers.

From what I understand, I should stick to DVDShrink...

It's fine by me... I used it a lot and it never dissapointed me.

    I'll keep on searching anyway.
