internet explorer isn't working

For some reason my internet explorer is not working. I have firefox on my computer and that works fine but internet explorer doesn't work, it says this page cannot be displayed. It worked earlier today. I shut my computer off and then i turned it on a couple hours later and it didn't work. Can some one help me?

 

Let me guess, you're using IE 7 ?
If so, uninstall it and go back to IE6, that will fix your problem.

 

nope im using IE 6. I went to tools and then reset web setting and that didn't work.

 

OK, I got it. It was the Norton firewall that wsa the problem. I have a wireless router so i don't have to worry about the firewall.
