My Internet Explorer is messed! I need help to figure out why it is this way. When ever I click on a shortcut that is supposed to open in a new window it won't load. But if the shortcut opens in the same window it's fine. I really need help to figure out what's wrong!
I am also having this problem. It started after I downloaded SP2 for Windows XP. Is that the basic program your computer runs on? I need help also. I have turned off my pop up blocker and that did not help so I don't have a fix yet. Any help out there?
katisdale, uninstall sp2 from xp & see if problem still exists matyryan, check if you have any viruses & use an antispyware program like adaware6 from lavasoft see if problem still exists
I've uninstalled XP SP 2, I've ran multiple virus scans, I have used multiple spyware scanners. It's still messed.

I am having the same problem and have been having it for about a fortnight I'm not sure exactly what caused it. Initiatly I thought that it might have been a setting in IE so reset all the IE settings back to their defaults but without any luck. When I click on ddp's link it appears to start another copy of IE the new window seems to have locked up but the menus and controls all work ok its just that the display area never completes it seems to just sit there. If you close this nonresponding window you can then carry on browsing in the original window. Can anyone help?
