I've recently picked up my bruner (Iomega external Super DVD USB 2.0), and was trying to burn stuff and having major difficulties. I was able to successfully burn 2 discs, but found that most of the errors were mainly SCSI related.

So, finding this forum, and seeing the Adaptec ASPI (4.71.2) interface suggessted many times, installed it (unfortunately, I forgot to backup my settings before I installed it). After installing this, I can no longer burn anything.

Currently I am trying to burn a DVD image (.nrg file) that was created using Nero 6.6.0.8a using simulation mode to save from making too many coasters. The errors I get are Invalid Field in Command, cannot do disc at once within Nero. According to the logs, the problem comes from ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp. Does anyone know where this interface is located (i.e. which DLLs of which package got is corrupted)? Since that was the only change to the system before I started seeing the invalid field in command, I assumed that this is the problem! If it is not, can someone PLEASE let me know so that I'm not chasing red herrings.

So, I've tried many things trying to remove the ASPI, and finally tried FORCE ASPI to remove it. Removed ASPI, and still have the problem. Tried installing FORCE ASPI (4.6) and still had the problem. Removed everything again. Still had the problem. Removed Nero, AnyDVD, DVD Shrink, DVD Burner (From device manager), and I'm still having the same problems. Even tried to remove Sonic DLA, without much luck. I'm getting to my wits ends! I don't really want to have to through the trouble of reinstalling my OS!

I've tried all the basic stuff suggested in other posts:
    -Defrag
-ASPI (which is what I believe got me here in the first place)
    -Newest firmware
    -latest nero
    -everything is using DMA
-reinstalling everything (using Nero's removal tools).

So ... I'm totally lost. Can someone please help!

    Thanks
    Ken
PS: I'm sorry about the long post, but I wanted to make sure that I included all the information that I had.

    PC Config:
    P4 3.2 GHz
Iomega Super DVD external USB 2.0
512MB of RAM (so I don't think its a memory issue)
80G HDD (over 45G free, so not disc space, and just defragged before the log capture).

    Software:
    Nero 6.6.0.8a
    DVD Shrink 3.2
    AnyDVD 4.6.3.1

    Additional Software
    AVG Virus Scanner
    SpyWare Doctor
