I was just wondering is it safe to leave the box switched on ? by that I mean when you turn it off it goes onto standy by mode and displays the time but the top of the box gets really hot which I'm a bit wary of. If anyone can tell whether it is safe to do so I'd really appreciate it,thanks.
Yes it is as safe as any electrical appliance that is left in standby. You can turn it off if you like or are you afraid it will not come back on
your better off turning it off at night when your not using it because you are still paying for the electricity its using and its better for the environment also i heard they live longer because they get to cool down when you turn them off and they die quicker because of the constant heat.
i would also turn off any electrical appliance i think its saver,was doing job in house who left tv on standby and it started to smoke but did not go on fire but smoke damaged half the house
