    There's some guy selling pre-modded "new" systems with a Magic 3.1. However, he says it's a V7.

Are V7's still considered new? I thought the V9's and V10's were new.

Just wondering if he's ripping me off.

I say in my opinion that the V7 is now the best version to buy...every chip and/or swap magic cd works on it without problem as well as the gameshark/action replay...some ppl reported problems with V9 system and messiah chips as well the gameshark cds was unable to boot on these 2 new systems..i think sony put some kind of protection on new system to stop piracy..its just a thought, bcuz u can use GS2/AR2 to boot imported/copies games.

    Peace,

Yeah I traded my v9 to a friend for his v7 since gameshark and swap magic cd won't work on v9... i've tried and failed.
