Is it possible to mod my xbox by putting the HDD in my computer?

I dont have any of the games to softmod my xbox, and i dont feel like spending 70 dollars on a mod chip. is there any other way to get EVOX on my xbox?

 

you might be able to do it with a hotswap but im not sure.

Softmod,buy Splinter Cell at gamestop,im sure it will be less than $5 and buy the Xbox 360 transfer kit(comes with action replay,xbox docking station,360 docking station) for $10.You will end up paying $15 dollars or less,why not?

 

i have everything for soft modding except the game and im just going to get a friend to bring Splinter Cell to my house.

can someone give me a link to a decent tutorial on how to put a bigger HDD in my Xbox?
