DVD R's work fine on my ps2 if that means anything. I heard you can ripp ps2/psx games onto the hard drive, also that you can get snes/genises/atari/nes,ect...emulaters in the hard drive along with roms. I have a 200G hard drive in my ps2 but i dont know exactly what to do next.

hey.. the only way i think to do this is to buy hd advanced, or hd loader

hd loaders suppose to be better. http://www.ps2cover.com/
you can go there to get either. although they dont have hdloader for pal. ony ntsc.

and im pretty sure you can put the em.s and their roms on the hd but i wouldnt know because ive never used hd loader or advanced.

    good luck!

Do you have a modded PS2? If so I would recommend you take a look into the memory card exploit. I have like 7 programs running directly from my memory card all backed behind a nice GUI PS2MENU. It is very user friendly, the only thing you would need is a way to boot CD-R's. In my case, I have Swap Magic 3.3.
