I have a pc with two lite-on dvd dives. I had to reinstall windows a little while ago and now it seems the second drive will not read or write. when i reinstalled windows i had to change the bios to boot from disc, could i have messed somthing up? The whole pc was built from scratch about to months ago so i dont think the drive is broken? any ideas? thanks in advance.

have you checked in device manager to see if the drive shows up there?

make sure you didn't disable the drive in your BIOS

try uninstalling the drive reboot and let windows reinstall it. use this guide this may help

the drives do show up in device manager.

the drives are enabled in the bios.

have uninstalled and reinstalled each drive. they only work once after being reinstalled.

    thanks
