I have a Plextor PX-708A dvd burning drive, and I was wondering if anyone knew what disc brands it's compatible with, or knew of a place where I could find out. My first pack of dvd's were TDK, and they worked fine, but I'm hearing a lot about Ritek and seeing a lot of deals on them. I went to a website and was thinking of purchasing a bundle until I noticed a compatibility chart where they listed all the burners to use the discs with, and Plextor wasn't listed. Did they just leave out Plextor because it isn't a popular burner, or is it possible that Ritek doesn't work with Plextor?

I just got this drive and I was surpised to find that Ritek was not on the comp. list.
So I tried Ritek DVD-R 4x and all went fine. Will try others soon.

Ritek also manufactures for several brand names. Memorex is one I remember, and about 3 more. Go to www.dvdrhelp.com, section on media. I think there is a cross ref. chart or list. Jerry
