Is the American Version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on a DVD9 or DVD5?
File Count..: 57 x 50mb
File Names..: cdz-scct.*
DVD5 I think, approximately 2.62GB
whats the difference between dvd 5 and dvd 9 how does that help u in anyway?
From what I've seen, it should be DVD5
the difference is that if its a DVD9, you wont be able to burn it on a regular DVD disc. You will need a dual layer DVD disc if its a DVD9.
DVD 9's can hold almost 9 Gig's of info and DVD 5's can hold almost 5 gig's of info. DVD 9 can hold more data because they have two layers (Dual layer). The problem is a Play Station can't read the second layer on a burnt dual layer DVD. A PS2 game that is purchased is on a pressed DVD 9 or 5. I believe the Play Station reads the first layer and second layer form the inside out. On a burnt DVD 9 the first layer is read from the inside out and the second layer is read from the outside in. I may have that backwards but the point is that your Play Station can only read a pressed DVD 9 until someone makes a burnt one where the data is stored in the same format as a pressed one.
