is there a difference in the media here in the states than elsewhere? i ve just seen a lot of links about media places and comments on good and bad media and alot originate elsewhere than the u.s. ive got 300+ burns on memorex, maxell, phillips, imation, tdk, whatever is on sale. had 3-4 non burner issue bad disks. am i just getting lucky and need to order blanks? or are they just going to quit too soon? how do i know what i order is what i get? i can build my computer by ordering every part off line somewhere or an other, but im uneasy about buying media. kurt

There is NO difference in media sold here in the USA. I buy all my discs (usually Ritek) from Meritline.com. As far as what you already burned, Yes I think you have been very lucky. About half of what you listed are brands that cause problems. But if you can get away with using them its all up to you.
