    Hello -

Can I convert an MPEG file into an ISO or VOB or whatever I need to play on a dvd? I plan on signing up to this website, and it only offers MPEGS... I don't want to sign up unless I can burn the videos to a dvd and watch them on my tv.

    Thankyou!

    I LOVE THIS FORUM

Or if you have Nero - Vision will convert them.

    Another one is ConvertXtoDVD.

Neither are free but do have trials that you can download from aD's software section.

Watch the website too - may not be legit and may also put some copy protection on them so when you go to burn them may not be able to (depends on what is though).

I was also wondering, with DVD shrink, can't I turn any file into an ISO file?

    xsenergy,
If you want to turn a Shrink file into an iso then the files have to be mpeg-2 DVD Compliant first. In other words you will see .vob, ifo and bup files instead of mpeg files. Then Shrink can process the files and make an iso for you if that is what you want

    xsenergy,

As Binky has stated NeroVisionExpress would probably be the best option, but if you are looking to try out a free way of doing it give DivX to DVD a try it is easy and works pretty good. Here is a guide to help you out DivX2DVD Guide

Maybe you can use google to find out a converter which can help you to convert video files to DVD,that will be more easy. And some converters have trial version you can try first.
