When using DVD Decrypter alone or with a burning software like Nero, what is the difference between using Decrypter to rip & burn using ISO versus using Decrypter to rip in File Mode and burn the VOB,IFO & BUP files onto a DVD -R disc using Nero.

Are there any difference in the resulting backup disc? Which way is better?

In my experience I've notice nothing. I've done both ... Shrink will open both & Nero can burn both. Now I mainly use file mode, because I use DVD Rebuilder at times.

Hope that helps .. maybe someone else has a different opinion.

With ISO mode you are less likely to mess up the files sense they are read only.

I agree with you moro... err, I mean flip. Picture quality is the same. As Pop_Smith said, It's an image so it's less likely to muck up.
