Isolate soundtrack from DVD and convert a snippet to MP3

This might be really easy, but I don't know how.

I want to isolate the soundtrack from a DVD, and convert it to MP3. Ideally, if say the 5.1 soundtrack is two hours long, but I only want a 5 minute bit of it, I'd like to extract that as MP3.

Is there any way of doing this, does anyone know?

Thanks a lot for any answers

Do a search for a product called DVD Audio Ripper - that will allwo you to pull off the audio tracks. I then use Super MPS Recorder to edit the tracks - I suspect there are special purpose tools that may do it better, but that's what I do
