I have tried several times to install iTunes on my Windows XP Pro box and keep getting the same error.

"1: InstallScript is missing from this machine"

I deleted this folder and reinstalled "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\7". I downloaded a new isscript.msi 7 reinstalled it and I still get the same frigging error.

I completely uninstalled iTunes with Quick Time cleaned out registry and tried to reinstall iTunes once again. Same problem.

Does any one have a solution? Other than format c:

Try installing quicktime first, then install itunes alot of times that will fix the issue, if not then make sure to back up all your data and reformat so that you get a clean start and you wont have any issues. Good luck.
