Well, I've been using Taiyo Yuden 8x dvd+r's on my v9 ps2 and the gaames are all choppy and have extremely slow laoding periods...

    My questions are... What better for a v9 ps2 dvd+r's or -?

Does it matter if my blank media is 8x, or 4x?

What speed should I write at?

What speed should I read at?

    Are these disk reliable?

And in summary what should I do and what method and media should I use to create a near flawless backup...

    Thanks...

    Exactly what sly said. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

4x yudens should let you burn at 1x.
(Make sure your firmware is updated too.)
