Is there a program to reset them or a way to eliminate them so the drive doesn't see the region code? Thanks!
Hi bruceb3, welcome to aD - Well there my friend, you've painted yourself into a corner. One more change and your drive stays there. I'm sure you already know the answer to your question, You can't reset a drive. You should have run something like AnyDVD in the background to make all your discs "Region Free". Before, you could have used DVD43 (for FREE) or DVD RegionFree but since you're so close to making your drive into a door stop, I would say you better use AnyDVD (the very best program for what you need) and not risk having to change your drive again. Here ya go, you get a 21-day free trial to try - you'll love it I'm sure - AnyDVD - http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html Good luck, Pete
There are two ways to solve this. One is to install a program like AnyDVD or DVDidle. Try also DVDidle: http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm The second way would be to install new dvd firmware to make the dvd region free, check if your drive has new firmware available: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php
