Hi, I have a question. I have a japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and a Modchip installed on my PS2. It is a Crystal Chip With the latest hacked firmware installed. It works great but all of the text in the game is in Japanese. I can expect that considering I bought the game from a Japanese website. But anyway... is there any way to convert the Japanese text in the game to English? Its that or I learn Japanese... Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Most undub projects you see like Star Ocean 3, Tales of the Abyss or Rogue Galaxy are ones that don't require as much effort as hacking the actual game and changing the in-game text like the ongoing Tales of Destiny 2 project, but it can still be a hassle and nuisance to even do a simple audio file swap. Like for example, for Tales of the Abyss, blank swapped the Jap battle, skit and movie files from the Jap version of ToA but had to reroute some files paths and rewrite some directories (I'm just taking a guess on how the person tried to fix the sync issues) for the undub ToA project to work decently yet the problem isn't completely perfect and fixed like there's no voices during a portion of the game because there was added stuff in the US version or whatever I'm forgetting.

I'm hoping for the Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria undub project to go through but like most Squaresoft games, the table is a expletive to hack like in FF12. Until then, I'm content with my Eng version of the games except FF12 because basically the new FF12 in Jap (around Aug, has yet to be release) is even better than the current FF12 release so I have to contemplate buying the JPN FF12 game perhaps.

And learn Japanese. You'd be surprised how far simply learning Katakana and Hiragana will get you in import friendly games that is. Text heavy games is a pain for me to know because of the massive amount of Kanji I have to look up on my Jap to Eng dictionary.
