has anyone info on reviving a dead starviwe box with jtag got on read inst but will not come on as if its not connected to pc? please help me
Hi yamandy. Silly question, but you are using a jtag cable - not null modem - and SKYMAX UP software right.
Sorry 'bout that, just making sure. I tried with the SKYMAX UP2 or whatever, and it wouldn't work, so I go an older version, and it worked first time. Let me see if I have it with me, I'll upload it, and pm you the link.
Sorry I didn't back to you sooner yamandy, between work and several threads on here,..... anyhow, let's try some more. 1) have you ever had anything connected to the parallel port, eg a printer, that workd? 2) If answer to above is no, right click on My Computer icon, select Properties. On the window, select Hardware tab, and click on Device Manager button. When the Device Manager window opens, click on the + next to COM & LPT ports. See if there is an LPT1 listed, if not, you'll have to install it. Let me know,'cos I'm doing this from memory, so I'll need a little time to get it right.
Can you help me.I need a JTAG Cable I was told by another member on the forum as my Starview box is DEAD after downloading updates from the computer.I don't have a clue what a JTAG is can you put me on the right track?Not sure about tech stuff so I need step by step info please.Thanks in advance
